Question 276048: By looking at two linear equations, how can you tell that the corresponding lines are parallel?
Answer by nyc_function(2741)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If their slopes are the same. The slope is the number next to x.
For example, here are two equations:
y = 4x + 9
y = 4x - 7
These two are parallel because they both have the same slope which is 4.
