A vertical line means that any point which lies on that line x coordinate is the same and y coordinate varies
In our case the line ix x=5....this means all the points on the line will have x coordinate 5 and y will be variable
If a line is parallel to a vertical line it aslo needs to be vertical. Since this line passes thru (-4,2)...and as earlier said that all the points that lie on the vertical line has same x coordinate...so in this case the eqution will be x=-4
