Question 27119: an old care has to travel a 2 mile route,up hill and down.The car can climb the first mile -the ascent-no faster than an average of 15mph. How fast does the car have to travel the second mile, on the desent to achieve an average speed of 30 mph for the trip?

this is what I tried, is this correct?
15 +x/2 =30
x= 45

15(1)=30(2-x)
15=60-30x
Simplify
x=1.5

30(1.5)=45
