Question 265553: Write the equation in standard form of the line satisfying the given conditions. Through (-2,4); m= -3/4
I'm assuming you use point-slope form. y-y1= m(x-x1)
But I came up with a different answer than the book. The book says the answer is 3x+4y=10
How do you get that answer?

------------
Find b
y = mx + b
4 = (-3/4)*(-2) + b
4 = 3/2 + b
b = 5/2
-----------
--> y = (-3/4)x + 5/2
4y = -3x + 10
3x + 4y = 10
