Question 26046: I'm lost, the problem says "Sketch a line that has the indicated slope. m=3 Help?!!? Please!
Answer by Ashley1516(4)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
OK,
U know m=slope & slope=rise/(over)run
Soooo....m=3/(over)1.....3 is the rise & 1 is the run!
To graph this you must go UP 3....draw a point(on x axis).....Then UP 3 again(don't make a point), but this time go over to the RIGHT 1(since it's a positive slope)and NOW draw a point! If you have room on your graph you can go up 3 and over to the right again or if not, start at your FIRST point u marked and do the opposite.....Go DOWN 3 and over to the LEFT 1! Now just connect all your points together with a straight line, put arrows at each end, and your DONE!
I REALLY hope this helps and you understand it!!!!!
