Question 260053: find the slope and the y-intercept of the line:
y=4/7x - and explain how
Answer by richwmiller(17219) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If this is the entire equation, then the slope is 4/7 and the y intercept when x=0 is also 0
You have the equation in what is known as the slope intercept form.
y=mx+b
where m is the slope and b is the y intercept there is no b in your equation so it equals zero
and m=4/7.
I assume you really mean and not the that you wrote.
You have to be very careful with the notation on the screen.
