The equation is
y=mx + c
where m is the slope of the line
y intercept means distance of the point where line is intersecting the y axis from the (0,0).
The point where line will intersect y axis the x coordinate will be zero.
SImilarly for x intercept the y coordinate will be zero...
Now we have the equation
y-3x+1 = 0
so y = 3x -1
For y intercept put x =0
so y = -1
