If the line that passes through the points A(2,-1) and B(3,-2) is parallel to the line ax – by + c = 0, then determine the value of a^2 – b^2.
------------------
The line thru the points is y = -x + 1, or
x + y - 1 = 0
Its slope, m = -1, and the slope of ax - by + c is also -1 --> a/b = -1.
a = -b
a^2 - b^2 = 0
