For graphing you only need two ordered pairs because it is a straight line.
However your teacher may have told you to plot five points.
The easiest points to calculate are the intercepts when x=0 and y=0
So plug in 0 for x and calculate y
and plug in 0 for y and calculate x
Just pick any value you want for x and calculate y
Since you will be multiplying x by 1/2 it would make it easy to choose even numbers for x.
x=2 brings y=-3
so now you have three points
pick an x and calculate y
pick another x and calculate y

X intercept is found by setting y to 0: ax+by=c becomes ax=c. that means that x = c/a. 4/0.5 = 8.
Y intercept is found by setting x to 0: the equation becomes by=c, and therefore y = c/b. Y intercept is 4/-1 = -4.
Slope is -0.5/-1 = 0.5.
Equation in slope-intercept form: y=0.5*x+-4.
