Question 251440: i need to find the slope for
x+4y=8
0+4(2)=8 (0,2)

Answer by richwmiller(17219)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
What are you doing?
Do you have a point (0,2) ?
Put the equation in slope intercept form
y=mx+b
the slope is m
x+4y=8
4y=8-x
y=8/4-x/4
y=-x/4+8/4
y=(-1/4)*x+2
m=-1/4
y intercept =2
(0,2) is y intercept
