We first solve the left side:
7 > -4x + 6
1 > -4X
-1/4 < X; notice the switch of inequality when dividing by (-).
Now, we solve the right side:
10 ≤ -5x + 4
6 ≤ -5x
X ≤ -(6/5); notice the switch of inequality when dividing by (-).
So, the answer I have is:
(-∞,-6/5] u (-1/4,∞).
