Question 247552: Please help me solve this:
find the y-intercept: A(20,-5) B(4,-9)
Answer by checkley77(12844) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A(20,-5) B(4,-9)
Y=mX+b [m=slope & b= the y intercept.]
Slope=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)=(-9+5)/(4-20)=-4/-16=1/4 is the slope.
-5=1/4*20+b
-5=5+b
b=-5-5
b=-10 ans. for the Y intercept.
Y=x/4-10
