Question 24658: I am completely stumped by this question. Here it is.
if x = y/z then solve the equation for z.
It looks simple, and it probably is, I am just horrible at math. I need this fast, it is very important. Thank you for any help.

Answer by wuwei96815(245)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x = y/z
Multiply both sides of the equation by z. You get:
zx = y
Divide both sides by x. You get:
z = y/x

Remember you can do anything to one side of an equation as long as you do it to the other side also. Use this principle to isolate the unknown that you are trying to solve for.
