Question 246013: how do you graph the line 5x-2y= 6
plot 3 points
Answer by blwinbbbles(106) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The easiest way to do this is chose a number to be x then solve for y
so if x = 1
5(1) - 2y = 6
5 - 2y = 6 subtract 5 from both sides
-2y = 1 divide both sides by -2
y = -1/2
so your coordinate would be (1, -1/2) you can graph this point.
choose 2 more numbers for x and solve for y..this will give you a total of 3 points to graph..
try using 0 then -1 for x
Hope this helps
