Graph the following line 8x-y=-9
It is generally easiest to calculate points where x=0 and y=0
It is easiest if x and y are whole numbers
and in desperate times try x=1 and y =1
so
if x=0 then -y=-9 :multiply by -1: y=9
if y=0 then 8x=-9 x=-9/8
if y=1 then 8x-1=-9
add one to both sides
8x=-8
x=-1
so plot x=0 and y=9
and y=1 and x=-1
