Question 244492: How do I find the y axis intercept?
Answer by checkley77(12844) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Given a linear equation with x & y terms: Example: [6x+2y=8]
Put this equation in the line equation format: Y=mX+b where b=the Y intercept.
6x=2y=8
2y=-6x+8
y=-6x/2+8/2
y=-3x+4 The Y intercept=4.
(graph 300x200 pixels, x from -6 to 5, y from -10 to 10,-3x +4).
