Answer by checkley77(12844) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
PERPINDICULAR TO 3X+4Y=12,THROUGH (7,1)
3x+4y=12
4y=-3x+12
y=-3x/4+12 slope=-3/4. (red line)
A perpendicular line has a slope=4/3
1=4/3*7+b
1=28/3+b
b=1-28/3
b=3/3-28/3
b=-25/3 the Y intercept.
Y=4X/3-25/3 ans. (green line)
