x+4y=50
4x+3y=83
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
what are the X and Y values of
x+4y=50
4x+3y=83
---------------
Multiply thru the 1st equation by 4:
4x + 16y = 200
------
Subtract the 2nd equation from this modified equation and solve for "y":
13y = 117
y = 117/13
y = 9
--------------------------
Substitute into x +4y = 50 and solve for "x":
x + 4*9= 50
x + 36 = 50
x = 14
------------------------
-----------------------
