Question 231153: Please help me begin this problem
The linear equation
y = 11.1x+43
approximates food and drink sales y in billions of dollars, where x=0 represents 1970. Use the equation to approximate food and drink sales for 1990 and 1995.
Answer by user_dude2008(1862) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
in 1990, x=20....in 1995, x=25
1990:
y = 11.1x+43
y = 11.1(20)+43
y = 222+43
y = 265
in 1990, sales about 265 billion
1995:
y = 11.1x+43
y = 11.1(25)+43
y = 277.5+43
y = 320.5
in 1995, sales about 320.5 billion
