I am having a trouble solving the following problem:
Find a value for K so that the following system of equations has infinitely many solutions.

6x + 3y = 15
Kx + y = 5

A) 0 B) -6 C) 2 D) 3 E) 5
A, B, C, D, and E are the only allowable answers given for the problem. Please help.

Find a value for K so that the following system of equations has infinitely many solutions.
6x + 3y = 15
Kx + y = 5
:
This will happen when both equations are the same
2x + y = 5
:
if you multiply this equation by 3, it's the same as the 1st equation
therefore k = 2
