Question 229752: solve by substitution: 3b+ 2a=2, -2b+a=8
Answer by checkley77(12844) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3b+2a=2
-2b+a=8
a=2b+8 Now replace a in the first equation with (2b+8) & solve for b.
3b+2(2b+8)=2
3b+4b+16=2
7b=2-16
7b=-14
b=-14/7
b=-2 ans.
a=2*-2+8
a=-4+8
a=4 ans.
Proof:
3*-2+2*4=2
-6+8=2
2=2
