Answer by rfer(16322)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y int x=0 (0,-6)
x int y=0 (-4,0)
-3x-2y=12
-2y=3x+12
2y=-3x-12
y=(-3x-12)/2
y=-3(0)-12/2
y=-6
(0,-6)
---------------------
-3x=2y+12
3x=-2y-12
x=(-2y-12)/3
x=-2(0)-12/3
x=-4
(-4,0)

Answer by checkley77(12844)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-3x-2y=12
-2y=3x+12
y=3x/-2+12/-2
y=-3x/2-6
(graph 300x200 pixels, x from -6 to 5, y from -10 to 10, -3x/2 -6).
Intercepts: (-4,0) & (0,-6)

Find the x and y intercept points of

Step 1. Intercepts means that the intersect the x or y axis. This means that one of the coordinates is zero. So for x=0, then the point (0,b) has b a the y-intercepts. and for y=0, then the point (a,0) has a as the x-intercept.

Step 2. Then for x=0 in equation we have

Divide by -2 to both sides of the equation

or

So we have (0,-6) as one point with b=-6 as the y-intercept.

Step 3. Then for y=0 in equation we have

Divide by -3 to both sides of the equation

or

So we have (-4, 0) as one point with a=-4 as the x-intercept.

Step 4. ANSWER: So we have (0,-6) as one point with b=-6 as the y-intercept and we have (-4,0) as one point with a=-4 as the x-intercept.

We can use these two points (-4,0) and (0,-6) to plot the graph.

I hope the above steps were helpful.
