Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the slope-intercept form of the line passing through (5,-5)and (-5,-1)
-----------
Find the slope, m
m = diffy/diffx = 4/-10
m = -2/5
--------
Use either point in
y = mx + b (I'll use (5,-5))
-5 = (-2/5)*5 + b = -2 + b
b = -3
------
y = (-2/5)x - 3
