:
Multiply what's inside the brackets
y - 11 = x + *8
y - 11 = x - 20
Cancel the 2 into 8
y - 11 = x + -5(4)
y - 11 = x - 20
Add 11 to both sides
y = x - 20 + 11
y = x - 9; the slope intercept form
