Question 211883: Please help me by finding the slope of the line 6x+3y=18!
Answer by Earlsdon(6294) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Try this!
First, get your equation into the "slope-intercept" form, y = mx+b:
6x+3y = 18 Subtract 6x from both sides.
3y = -6x+18 Now divide both sides by 3.
y = (-6/3)x+18/3 Simplify.
y = -2x+6 Compare with:
y = mx+b
The slope, m = -2
