Question 208070: By using the 5 steps of the Addition/Subtraction method, I need to make 2 equations that have my two integers as the solution. My two integers are 4 and 6. How do I do this?
Answer by checkley77(12844) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2X+3Y=26 MULTIPLY THIS EQUATION BY -3 & ADD.
6X-2Y=12
-6X-9Y=-78
-------------------
-11Y=-66
Y=-66/-11
Y=6 ANS.
2X+3*6=26
2X+18=26
2X=26-18
2X=8
X=8/2
X=4 ANS.
PROOF:
6*4-2*6=12
24-12=12
12=12
