Question 207851: solve system using the substution method
x=-y+9
-2x+y=5
solution (4/?,23/?)

Answer by Alan3354(69443)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x=-y+9
-2x+y=5
-------
sub for x into the 2nd eqn
-2(-y+9) + y = 5
2y-18 + y = 5
3y = 23
y = 23/3
-------
x = 4/3
--> (4/3,23/3)
