Question 206064: a line that passes through (3,5) and (6,11)
Answer by checkley77(12844) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Y=mX+b is the line equation where m=slope & b=the Y intercept.
(3,5) and (6,11)
m=(11-5)/(6-3)=6/3=2 is this slope.
Now replace the X & Y terms with one set of values (3,5) & solve for b.
5=2*3+b
5=6+b
b=5-6
b=-1 is the Y intercept.
y=2x-1
