Question 204340: If the degree measure of the smallest angle of a triangle is
one-half of the degree measure of the second largest angle
and one-third of the degree measure of the largest angle,
then what is the degree measure of each angle?
I cannot graph this for the life of me...i tried changing the veribage around it still doesn't work for me please assist.

If the degree measure of the smallest angle of a triangle is
one-half of the degree measure of the second largest angle
and one-third of the degree measure of the largest angle,
then what is the degree measure of each angle?
-------------------------------------------------
Let the largest angle measure be "x"
-----
2nd largest measure is (1/3)x
-----
Smallest measure is (1/2)((1/3)x) = (1/6)x
-----------------------------------------------
Equation:
x + (1/3)x + (1/6)x = 180
Multiply thru by 6 to get:
6x + 2x + x = 6*180
9x = 6*180
x = 6*20
x = 120 degrees
(1/3)x = 40 degrees
(1/6)x = 20 degrees

Let the smallest angle be s
Since the smallest is of the second largest angle, then the second largest angle is twice the smallest angle, or 2s
Since the smallest is also of the largest angle, then the largest angle is thrice the smallest angle, or 3s
Altogether, their sum is 180 degrees. Therefore, we have:
s + 2s + 3s = 180
6s = 180
s = 30
So s, or the smallest angle is:
The second largest angle is: (2*30)
The largest angle is: (3*30)
