Answer by scott8148(6628)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
parallel lines have the same slope

y=2x-4 is already in slope-intercept form, with the slope being 2

the new line, in point-slope form, is ___ y-2=2(x-1)

solving for y to get slope-intercept ___ y=2x
