Question 1887: How do I determine if this ordered pair (0,2) is a solution of the following equation: -3X + Y = -2? Thanks in advance.
Answer by longjonsilver(2297) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
you simply put the values for x and y into the equation, and see if it does indeed equal -2.
-3(0) + 2 works out as 2. Your equation says it should equal -2, so the point (0,2) is NOT a solution to this equation
