Question 188513: I have been searching sites all afternoon trying to understand this. There is table A with X and y coordinates of (-2,-1), (-1,1) (0,3) (1,5) (2,7). Then there is Table B with (-2,-5), (-1,-3), (0,-1), (1,1) (2,3) you are then asked to find the differences in x and y values?? I guess I just don't understand what they're looking for.
Answer by solver91311(24713)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Take the x coordinate of the first point in Table B and subtract it (change the sign and add) from the x coordinate of the first point in Table A.

Repeat for the y coordinates of the first point in each of the tables.

Repeat both steps for each of the other points. If you do the arithmetic correctly you should get the same result for all 5 sets of points. Plot all ten points and you will see why.
