Question 187416: please solve using subsitution x=-y+6 y=-1x-4
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
please solve using subsitution
x=-y+6
y=-1x-4
-----------
substitute for x to solve for "y":
y = -(-y+6) + 6
y = y -6 + 6
y = y
--------------
That means the two equations are really one equation.
The solution is y = -x-4
