The y-intercept is the point where the graph of the equation intersects the y-axis. Every point on the y-axis has a characteristic in common, namely the x-coordinate is 0. So, all y-intercepts are in the form (0, b) where b is the value of y when x = 0.

Similarly, the x-intercept is an ordered pair of the form (a, 0) where a is the value of x when y = 0.

For example, in your first problem, when x = 0:

Therefore the y-intercept is (0, -6)

You should be able to to the rest.
