Question 179536: im not sure how to work out,
Solve the following equations.
4(2x+3)=-4x
i know that the answer is x=-1 but i am not sure how to get that answer
Answer by Mathtut(3670) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4(2x+3)=-4x
:
8x+12=-4x..........distributed left side 4(2x+12)=4(2x)+4(3)
:
12x=-12........added 4x and subtracted 12 from each side
:
divided both sides by 12 to isolate the variable x
