varies inversely is nothing more than saying if one varible increases the other must decrease and takes the form of: if a varies inversely with b the
a(b)=k.....so lets find our constant value
Let cost of cd's be a and the number of cd's be b
:
a(b)=2.50(10000)=25000 ....so our constant k in this case is 25000
:
now we want to find the cost of a cd if 100000 cd's are made.
:
a(100000)=25000
:
cents cost of cd when 100000 are made
