first you need to re write the equation in y=mx+b format and determine the slope, remembering that lines perpendicular to each other are negative inverses of each other.
y=-2x-4....so the slope is -2 the negative inverse of this is 1/2. now we use the point slope equation to find the line perpendiclar using point (1,0)
y-k=m(x-h) where (h,k) is a point on the line and m is the slope
y-0=1/2(x-1)---->
