x+6=15-3x
x+3x=15-6
4x=9
x=9/4 answer.

Ok, let's look at the first one:
The first thing you want to do is to apply the distributive property to the right side.

Now subtract x from both sides to get the variable, x, on on side of the equation, and it really doesn't matter which side but here, it ends up on the right side.

Now that you have the x on one side, you subtract 15 from both sides to leave the x-term by itself on the right side.

Now you need to "undo" the multiplication of the x by (-4), so you would divide both sides by (-4).
