Question 153928: I am desperately trying to plot out this graph but cannot find what seems so easily available. If I could see it in front of me, I could refer to it for future use. Thank you so much, if you can help me here.
the graph I need plotted is:
Graph x + 2 = 2x - 1
Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Graph x + 2 = 2x - 1
-----------
First collect terms.
x = 3
Since there's no y term, no matter what y is, x is 3. You can make any 2 points and connect them.
(3,0)
(3,3)
(3,-5)
(3,200)
You'll see that this is a vertical line (parallel to the y-axis) thru the points (3,y)
