Question 151714: Find the intercepts and then use them to graph the equation.
4y-12=4x
then graph the line if only one intercept exists use another point to draw the line.
I tried
4y-12=4x
y=4
4*4=16-12=4x

oh boy I am confused

Hang tough.
Intercepts mean one of the coordinates is 0
x intercept has the y coordinate 0.

Use y=0

So the x intercept is the point (-3,0)
Y intercept has the x coordinate 0

So the y intercept is (0,3)
If you are given only one intercept, then you need to find a second point before you can plot the line. You need two points to plot a line. So pick a value for x that is not 0 and solve for y.
Let's pick x=1

So the second point is (1,4)
Plot the line as follows
