Question 150290: Show all your work
Solve the system of equations using the Addition method.
2a + 3b = -1
3a + 5b = -2

Answer by mangopeeler07(462)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2a + 3b = -1
3a + 5b = -2

Multiply the first equation by -3/2
-3a+-9b/2=-1
3a+5b=-2

Add them
1/2b=-3

Multiply by 2
b=-6

Plug that in
3a+5(-6)=-2

3a-30=-2
3a=28
a=9 and 1/3

a=28/3
b=-6
