Question 146691: Determine which two equations represent parallel lines.
(a) y = 6x – 2 (b) y = –6x + 2 (c) y = 6x + 1 (d) y =-1/6 x – 2
Can someone please help with this I am stuck.

They're all in the form y = mx + b. m is the slope, and parallel lines will have the same slope.
(a) and (c) have a slope of 6, so they're parallel. None of the others are.
