Write the slop-intercept form of the line. Then identify the slope and y-intercept.
4x=6-8y
If it would of been 4x+6y=8 I would of had no problem putting it in the slope intercept form. I get confused when they rearrange it differently.
Answer by Earlsdon(6294) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The slope-intercept form is:
y = mx+b
So all you need to do is to solve your equation for y:
Subtract 6 from both sides.
Now divide both sides by -8.
Simplify.
Compare this with:
and you see that the slope, and the y-intercept,
