g(x)=(x-1)3=3x-3
recall the slope-intercept form: y=mx+b; m is the slope, b is the intercept. The slope tells you how much to go up with respect to how much you go over after plotting the y-intercept (b).
So, we can see now that our equation here has slope 3 and y-intercept -3. This means the line intercepts the y-axis at -3 and the line continues with slope 3 (up 3, over 1). See the graph below:
