Question 139824: How would you find the equation of a line if you were given the slope and the x-intercept?
Answer by checkley77(12844)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Given a slope of (2) and a given x intercept of (4,0) then:
0=2*4+b where b= the y intercept.
0=8+b
b=-8 thus we have the line equation
Y=2X-8
(graph 300x200 pixels, x from -6 to 5, y from -10 to 10, 2x -8).
