Suppose a car rental company charges $150 for the first day and $100 for each additional or partial day. Let S(x) represent the cost of renting a car for x days. Find the value of S(5.5).

If n is the number of days (integer)and y=cost
then S(n)=150+100(n-1)
S(5.5)=S(6)=650
Answer: 650
