Hello. Thanks for writing. We have an equation here and we must solve for x.
0.04x + 0.06(30)= 0.20(49)
The first thing to do is multiply 0.06 by (30)and then 0.20 by (49).
Let's do that right now!
0.06 times(30) = 1.8
THEN:
0.20 times (49) = 9.8
We now have a new equation:
0.04x + 1.8 = 9.8
We now subtract 1.8 from 9.8
0.04x = 9.8 - 1.8
0.04x = 8.0
To find x, simply divide 8.0 by 0.04 and that's it.
x = 8.0/0.04
x = 200
Did you follow?

Answer by checkley71(8403)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.04X+.06(30)=.2(49)
.04X+1.8=9.8
.04X=9.8-1.8
.04X=8
X=8/.04
X=200 ANSWER.
