Question 1206120: 3y+2x=16
Answer by Edwin McCravy(20055)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Complete the table of values below, by substituting the value of the
variable x or y that is given into the equation 3y+2x=16. Then solve for
the corresponding value of the other variable.

x | y
--|--
-4|__
__| 6
 2|__
__| 2
 8|__

Then plot the points (-4,__), (__,6), (2,__), (__,2), (8,__) on graph paper
like below. They should all lie on a straight line, so take a straight edge
and draw a line through them. That will be the graph of the equation 3y+2x=16.
[If they don't lie in a straight line, then you've made a mistake.]
