it's not clear what you are looking for.
my take is:
since you already the total number of students taking part, then you are looking for the total number of minutes for the ceremony, or how many minutes of the ceremony have been taken up by the specified number of students.
in that case the formula would be:
y = 25/32 * x + 25
x is the number of students.
y is the number of minutes.
for example, when x is 0, then the total number of minutes taken up by the ceremony is 25 because 25/32 * 0 + 25 = 25.
those 25 minutes were for speaking and music before any one of the students received their degree.
when x is 32, then the total number of minutes taken up by the ceremony is 25/32 * 32 + 25 = 50.
25 if those minutes were for speaking and music before any one of the students received their degree. the other 25 minutes were used to give 32 students heir degree.
the graph of this equation looks like this:
based on the equation, all 549 students got their degree in 453.90625 minutes.
the slope of the equation is 25/32.
the slope of the equation is telling you that the average time for each student to get their degree is 25/32 minutes.
