Question 1180697: What is the equation of a line with a slope of -2 and passes through the point (3,-4)?
A= -2x+y=2
B= 2x+y=-2
C= 2x+y=2
D= Y=2x+2

Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

slope m= -2

Plug value of the slope and point ( 3 , -4 ) in
Y = m x + b
-4.00 = -6 + b
b= -4.00 - -6
b= 2
So the equation will be
Y = -2 x + 2
